Today we’d like to showcase a start-to-finish project of a valley restoration job that was done on a slate roof.
Note: valleys replaced on both sides of this dormer, pictures of work show both sides.
Before
valley on this 120 year old Monson slate roof is worn out, tarred and leaking
Removal:
Existing slate is removed and salvaged
A simple removal of old valley metal and replacing with new copper directly on roof deck, is all that is required (no ice and water shield necessary).
After the copper valley has been installed and the slate replaced to it’s original location, the roof is complete:
