153 Ontario St., Providence, RI – Removing Entryway Columns

We recently removed the columns on the front entryway at 153 Ontario St. in Providence, RI. To do this we first had to support the weight of the two stories above. Once we ensured this support, we then jacked up the stories above just enough so that we could safely remove the columns in the least abrasive and damaging way as possible. Once the columns were taken down they were brought to the Providence Revolving Fund for restoration and storage.
